www.SafeHarborHouse.com Safe Harbor Treatment Center for Women is nationally recognized as the premier Women’s Drug and Alcohol Addiction Treatment Facility in Southern California. Sex and Love Addiction With Tiger Woods in the media spotlight, the debate has sprung up yet again. Is overindulgence in vices like sex, drugs and alcohol a symptom of an authentic illness, or is it just plain poor decision-making? When an individual has an addiction to something that doesn’t sound like fun, for example self-mutilation or vomiting, people are less apt to argue about the addiction’s validity as a disease. But when it comes to things that the average person enjoys doing and is capable of doing in moderation, like drinking or having sex, the public is much more likely to assume that all people have the same level of control that they possess when engaging in these activities. Labeling those whose lives are crumbling to pieces around them as the result of an addiction, like Tiger Woods, as ‘sleazebags’ or ‘idiots’ is unproductive. Infidelity and alcohol abuse are never good hobbies to take up, but there is much more at work than poor decision-making for those addicted to destructive behaviors. True addicts need treatment if they want to return to living normally. Without treatment, their addiction will continue to run (and ruin) their lives. Since technically she raped him as a drunk person’s consent is not consent at all.
So you’re saying that neither party was raped?

Im really having a hard time understanding my sister.
Her Boyfriend is a drug addict (Crystal meth/Crack), abusive, threatens to kill her (Our Mom, and me), Smashing and destroying all her property (Computer, Car, Clothes etc) Calls her over 100 times a day. All her friends don’t
Me and my mom are so fed up. If she dosent listen to him he will come and humiliate all of us infront of our neighboors at 3:00am.
Of course we will call the cops but my sister will get so upset and lash out on us? I know my sister is using drugs with him. She barely comes home unless her boyfriend is beating her and she needs a place to stay. She comes home bruised up.
My mom was really heartbroken and dissapointed. So we got an restraining order against him. My sister also got an restraining order against him too. BUT is currently still living with him.
I tried talking to my sister and i just dont understand why she would be with a man who will harm her?
She said: I hate him so much, i hate that i love him. I dont even know why i love him? but i can’t live without him, i don’t know what to do.
Do you think it’s the drugs talking? Is it the sex? Is my sister some how attracted to this abuse?

Dated a woman for 14 mos.-Were friends for yrs-Older brother s3xually abused her during childhood. She’s 45 & lives at home (where the abuse took place) with her mom-in same room she had when she was 9. She’s attractive, had abusive relationships, but no friends. She has plenty of $ & could easily move out. As we dated, she would get weird—accusing me of saying things that are s3xually inappropriate. I never tried to do this, & we NEVER HAD S3X. I actually liked her. I was sensitive about the abuse, but she called me names, hit me & been emotionally abusive. After 14 mos., I decided to bring this up. When I tried, she lost it & accused me of s3xually inappropriate behavior 0VER 1 YR AGO. She also said I was s3xually inappropriate around her niece-24 & with a meth addict. Only been around niece 2X. Anyway, she stopped talking in Jan.-crossed paths with her 2X. She was uncomfortable-acting like she would like to talk. I sent her note expressing no animosity-wishing her well. Was this OK?
You see I started Methadone Treatment, and I have taken it everyday since 6/18/07. About two and a half months of no period, I’m just wondering if there’s a connection between the two. I am not pregnant, already checked, and I have never ever used any kind Birth Control(Pills,Patches,Shots,Nothing)!!! I know I should, but I don’t even use Condoms or Diaframs!!! Anyway, if you have any helpful Info. I would really appreciate it!
