Man accused as heroin ringleader captured
An Aurora man who federal agents say was head of a Chicago heroin ring has been captured. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Dana Bostic, 31, of the 2700 block of Amli Drive in Aurora, was arrested late last week by the U.S. Marshall Service. Read more on The Beacon News

Okay you “HUMPYMANIACS” (especially you,Marilyn) here is a 2-fer from one of my favorite Engelbert LPs, “Sweetheart” from 1971. There is not a bad track on this whole LP and these 2 songs are 2 of my favorites. I always thought “Santa Lija” should have been issued as a single. It was overseas but the US got “When There’s No You” as the next single instead. “WTNO” is a great single and the B side is the non LP track “Stranger Step Into My World”. You can’t get much better than that. “Live And Just Let Live” was written by Paul Anka. Since you all seem to like these obscure LP tracks that I have been posting, I’ve decided to go thru my Engelbert library and find some of the rarest and most forgotten tracks and post them for all to rediscover. There are so many great tracks that have seemed to have gotten lost over the years because they only remained on vinyl and rarely if ever appeared on an obscure import CD. These songs are truly worthy of rediscovery and as long as you all enjoy them, I will continue to post them. (Don’t hyperventilate Marilyn!) I’m gonna stick to mainly to the Parrot releases as the later stuff is alot more common and there is a ton of it already on youtube ENJOY!!

I think one reason that Richard Dawkins is so insistent that we share his non-belief in God is that this would be a necessary first step before we can share his belief that he is — quite literally — the smartest thing in the universe. Well, I don’t see why the refutation of erroneous, if reassuring, beliefs should be limited to those held by adults. So, here’s something for the kids. Comments and questions welcome.
