“Christmas is classified as very sad for a lot of people…” 25th December has drifted somewhat past the Solar solstice (21-22 December – winter in the North, summer in the Southern hemisphere) but so too have many people drifted away from family + friends. Christmas is not only a Christian religious celebration but also has a universal quality because of its being a solstice festival. All the more reason, though, to remember the age-old maxim of “Do to others as you would have done to yourself” which is actually far more ancient than Christianity….. Homelessness – “39% of our clients can be categorised as “homeless” as defined by the Australian Government. They report being dependent on boarding houses or hostel accommodation, crisis shelters, squats, “couch surfing” between friends and relatives, or simply living on the streets. More than 50% of our clients have “slept rough” at some time, usually as a result of family breakdown, unemployment, or alcohol addiction. Other causes of homelessness experienced by our clients are eviction, domestic violence, return from war (especially Vietnam), mental illness, drug addiction and gambling….. Other of our clients rent privately, but it seems many of them only just manage to avoid homelessness. 41% of these private renters share bathroom facilities and 6% are without access to a bathroom at all. 32% share kitchen facilities and 5% have no access to food preparation areas and storage. Clients who do have access to kitchen …
We cant pay our bills already and he buys at least a 6 pack a day more on weekends. Its starting to bother me. I just want to know if i’m right in feeling like this.
I’m doing a project and I need as much alcoholic beverages as I can. The most gets 10 points! Thanks!
I mean brand names. (Budweiser, Coors, Sam Adams )
My boyfriend is 25. He drinks not necessarily excessively, for he has a high tolerance, but I am worried for him for the future. In a typical male, how many drinks a day (or percentage of alcohol) does it take to cause cirrhosis of the liver? By what age would he start having problems? Links to official website will be helpful. Thank you!
When my family prays in public we do not make a scene about it. Most of my family members are recovered drug addicts and alcoholics- AND THEIR FAITH HELPS TO KEEP THEM SOBER- So if that means us praying for them no matter where we are then so be it. If you don’t like it then don’t listen. We pray quietly for each other and its our business to do so. When you go to AA they teach you the power of faith in God. They do it to help you get sober. It is the only thing that saved my fathers life. My dad was on the brink of death because of alcoholism and drug addiction, and the only thing that keeps him going now is praying. So my question is why is it so wrong for a person to have faith if it makes them healthy?
I’m not sure if the alcohol content varies from brewery to brewery or not, so lets use Becks N/A as a reference. At 0.5% alcohol by volume, for an average male, about say 150lbs, approximately how many non-alcoholic beers would cause someone to fail a breathalizer?
I’m not tiny and I am a bit overweight. I don’t want to drink too much. Does it look wrong to have three alcoholic drinks on a second date? Women: do you usually get slightly tipsy from three drinks? I drink super fast & love alcohol, but mainly on dates, to loosen up, but not to get drunk, just for a buzz. Thx.
