Question by DJ J.B.: How many people are REAL RAVERS and have been for 7 years or more and likes being sober at raves?
The reason i’m asking is cause well i’ve been in the rave scene since i was 13 and now i’m a DJ and all these things but i use to do the drugs hardcore. Now i think its stupid to do drugs but i still have an awsome time at raves especially now when i’m dj’ing at them. What do you guys think. Let me know

I don’t know any ravers, real or fake. Raves must be extremely exclusive and underground, because I’ve never even heard about one, and I’ve been friends with some pretty hard-core users. I mean, I know they exist.. I’ve just never heard of one.

Question by BrainBabe: Dylan Thomas: Under Milk Wood–a brilliant work by a brilliant man many say. Agree or Disagree?
Sadly, Thomas died of his alcoholism during production of Under Milk Wood, a production for voices. Many find his work brilliant. Many say he is over-rated. What say you? Is this one of his best? One of his worst?

Best answer:

Answer by Annie G
Did you know there’s a site called under milkwood (net) where you can hear Dylan Thomas reading it?
When I first listened, I thought it sounded too old-fashioned oratorical, but I kept listening and the rhythm grew on me and I really began to enjoy it.

You already know that guilt is pointless and helps no one. On the other hand, if your guilt keeps you sober, then it’s a good thing in the long run.

I drink an entire bottle of red wine by myself roughly two nights a week. Can this be considered excessive, and could I develop problems such as cirrhosis later on down the road? Regardless of the potential health benefits of moderate consumption of red wine, and even though I rarely drink beer or hard liquor, alcohol is still alcohol. A penny for your thoughts…

Homeless struggle at Christmas – many miss out in ‘land of the fair go’

ALCOHOLISM ADDICTION 5 Comments »

“Christmas is classified as very sad for a lot of people…” 25th December has drifted somewhat past the Solar solstice (21-22 December – winter in the North, summer in the Southern hemisphere) but so too have many people drifted away from family + friends. Christmas is not only a Christian religious celebration but also has a universal quality because of its being a solstice festival. All the more reason, though, to remember the age-old maxim of “Do to others as you would have done to yourself” which is actually far more ancient than Christianity….. Homelessness – “39% of our clients can be categorised as “homeless” as defined by the Australian Government.
