Please give me specifics (bioligical) on why you think it is a disease, and why people claim they have no power over it?
That would be *biological*, not that other word I mis-spelled up there.

I have discovered that many people can not handle their problems & they calling it being vague. I know that people with addictions are going somewhere so they can escape. Does meditation help to keep a person focused more? What can you tell me about this?

As an ex heroin addict of about 25 years and clean for 15 I come from a standpoint of an experienced addict and counselor to addicts with my group called “Rational Recovery”, a treatment system based on the rational mind and the idea that it is you who decides everything in your life.

My ex-husband is an alcoholic and I’m scared that my son would turn into one also. So, I’m looking for organizations or societies that might us be informed about alcoholism. I don’t want my son to be like his father. I want him to realize the consequences of abusing alcohol so that he would try to stay away from it. Please help me. I want to save my son.
