How do I start… well I recently left my girlfriend that is 7 months pregnant, we were living together in east oakland with her mom from august 2009 to April 2010 over the course of those months I ended up getting her pregnant. Now the reason i left was because thinks weren’t going to well, she cheated on me, beat me a few times given me a black eye among other things, the verbal abuse was really bad and hateful I know i was stupid for staying but i just thought i loved her and didn’t want to abandon my kid, now i want to know if its possible to get full custody because I think she is unfit to be a mother and the house and area she lives in is horrible, her mother and older brother(parolee been in and out of group homes, still a meth addict) smoke weed everyday inside the house and its not a enviroment i want my child being exposed too. I just want whats best for him
My sons biological dad is not in the picture my son doesn’t know him. He has been in and out of jail and the nut house for domestic abuse (me and his new gay lover) he is addicted to meth and apparently is gay now (probably from being in jail so much. So obviously you can see why I want him to have no contact with my son (not that he’s tried to see Logan for the past 5 hrs) he pays no child support but That doesn’t bother me. Logan calls Steve,my fiancée, daddy Steve has been the one supporting Logan for the last 4 years we have been together. Steve IS logan’s dad as far as we are all concerned. But unfortunatly, Logan still has his bio-dad’s last name. Steve wants to legally adopt Logan as does Steve’s and my family. I just don’t know how to go about doing it. Can’t afford to get married just yet. My question is this: how do we go about Steve legally adopting Logan do we absolutely have to be married first? Or are there certain loopholes? Please helpi need some good advise. Has anyone experiance similar to this? Again please help us
It’s very painful to look at how this drug has negatively impacted everyone in the addict’s circle of friends and family. I’m feeling that recovery will be both challenging and rewarding for the crystal meth addict. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience, strength and hope.
I was just laid off from a car dealership last week. I worked there for 10 months. Before I was laid off they told they would honor my unemployment benefits. So I filed last week and now the state of MN is looking at a job that i quit back in Oct of 2007. I had to answer a bunch of questions online about it and they contacted the employer. To make a long story short, I quit this job, or was fired….either or because of alcoholism. I have been sober 14 months now, but I wasn’t a very healthy person back then. In fact i ended up in the hospital back in oct of 2007. When i got out I sent this employer a letter letting her know i was sorry and what had happened. She sent me my last 2 checks and that was it. Can the state of MN deny me unemployment for a job that I quit 17 months ago??? Why do they even care about this job….its not like this employer is going to be paying my unemployment benefits????? My most current employer will be and they’re fine with it. I am worried sick over this whole thing because its pending right now and i need the unemployment until I find something else. Any knowledgeable advice is appreciated!!!!!
