Question by Jade Orchid: Is someone that gets drunk every night before going to bed, “to help him sleep”, an alcoholic?
After work this person comes home and drinks till he reaches an intoxicated state every night he works…Is this alcoholism? How do I talk to him about it? The person isn’t mean or anything while drunk but I’m worried about his long term health… Thanks

Can a person who gets drug tested regularly, but has been clean 5 years get a”dirty” from quitting smoking?

DRUG ADDICTION REHAB Comments Off

Question by paulj0557-vacuum cleaner expert: Can a person who gets drug tested regularly, but has been clean 5 years get a”dirty” from quitting smoking?
Let me explain.
I smoked for maybe a year before I started getting caught up in drugs. Can any ‘remnants’ trapped in the tar(?)if this is possible become ‘dislodged and get in my bloodstream? I did almost anything and everything, but the ultimate drugs I became addicted to were snorted at first, for a few months, but then I became a needle user.
This all ended when I finally was able to break free and get clean. It was a rough hull, my family and friends had not totally given up on me(at least in my mind) since I did not depend on them for my habit financially. If any of you reading this are into drugs now remember that your family does love you even if they are cutting you off emotionally-the fact is because you are doing drugs, you are cutting them off. Ask any of them and I assure you they would rather have your ‘old self’ back then to see you happy in your own mind and on drugs. Think about it.
Okay, here I said I didn’t want any preaching, and here I’m doing it. Sorry.

If you tested clean while smoking; I’m not sure why you would assume doing the reverse would cause a dirty test?
In my opinion, the answer is no you will not get a dirty test from quiting smoking. BUT.. if you use a ‘Nicotine Patch’ or other medical drug device, you should let them know BEFORE being tested, just in case

What do you think? Answer below!
