Drug Rehabilitation that works

Okay, first I have a question that needs answered. If my friend were to unsuccesfuly try to commit suicide under the influence of drugs, would they know? And would they send him to rehab or would that be his choice? Also, what are some other choices besides rehabilitation centers to help get over a drug addiction? If you have any additional information, it would be very much appreciated. Thankyou

PS. We live nearby. Should I knock at his door every other day to see if he is on meth. He looks pretty normal on meth anyways. I am worried about him.

Dated a woman for 14 mos.-Were friends for yrs-Older brother s3xually abused her during childhood. She’s 45 & lives at home (where the abuse took place) with her mom-in same room she had when she was 9. She’s attractive, had abusive relationships, but no friends. She has plenty of $ and could easily move out. As we dated, she would get weird—accusing me of saying things that are s3xually inappropriate. I never tried to do this, & we NEVER HAD S3X. I actually liked her. I was always sensitive about the abuse, but she has called me names, hit me & been emotionally abusive. After 14 mos., I decided to bring this up. When I tried, she lost it & accused me of s3xually inappropriate behavior 0VER 1 YR AGO. She even accused me of being s3xually inappropriate around her niece-24 & dating a meth addict. Only been around niece 2X. Anyway, she stopped talking in Jan.-crossed paths with her 2X since. She was uncomfortable-acting like she would like to talk, but I’m nervous. Hey, I tried.

he seems to be in love with her, he even said he could die for her.im really worried, he is my best friend and i heard it isn’t healthy to have love relationships after rehab.

I myself am a recovering alcoholic and know what it’s like to be an addict, but I don’t really know ho to help a friend that has an addiction. I know that when people tried to help me with my problems I turned away at first and got angry. I think most people do that at first, but I know if my friend gets angry I will lose her, what should I do?

My husband and I have taught this young lady off and on for several years. First as a homeschool student and then as a GED student. She means a great deal to us. She lost contact with us for about 4 months, now she is back and heavily drug addicted (we think meth, crack or an opiate) as well as her usual pot. My husband had extensive training in the Army on drug abuse identification.

We want to help her without enabling her. Her parents are heavily into drugs and have allowed her to go to court to be an emancipated minor. She is 17.

We paid her rent and her phone bill, so she would not be out on the streets and would have a way to contact us. We are not made out of money and quite truthfully we don’t want to extend any more financial help to her until she can at least break free of the boyfriend that is a major druggie. We would buy her food and toilet paper if we needed to, but no cash whatsoever.

What else can we do to help without enabling?

I have a friend who stopped drinking alcohol two days ago and she has been experiencing what seems to me like withdrawal symptoms. She’s always craving alcohol and gets clammy hands. I told her these are signs that she should get herself treated for addiction but she won’t listen to me. Am I right? If so, what can I do?

She has been abused as a child and her mother used heavy drugs while she was growing up, but she would always wanted to stay strong like she said i would. She is no living on her own and has choosen to become a stripper which is fine with me but she has started a huge drug prob. shes been acting really weird and when i try and talk to her about it she gets all mental she refuses to go to rehab and has already been in a pysh ward for trying to kill herself. We’ve always shared everything and i feel ive been a positive light in her life. I just dont know what to do.

I have a very close collegue that unfortunately has fallen prey to this evil siren “Crystal”. I want him to stop it because I can see it hurting him and as a friend it kills me to see that. He is one of the world’s GREATEST people! I’m sure of that. The planet needs more souls like his. It is such a shame to see such an exceptional person waste away like this.
