Pride before a fall… Pride and ego made me judge so much, people, place and things. Being right and knowing it, I resented injustice and became filled with anger and resentment, poor me drank. There will always be injustice, today I need not drink on it, simply work out what I can do and cannot do and make good choices fortoday… Life Works | DonInLondon | Don Oddy | These videos are about living sober and may be used as a resource to support recovery. That hard work and endeavour is our journey with joy and sadness thrown together side by side, serenity always in the moment of now… Everyday I try start with an open mind, be honest and willing to learn ~ Socrates “The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.” -/- Always the more I know, the less I know… Wisdom is a daily learing experience and never knowing what is right for you! Step One “We admitted we were powerless over alcohol-that our lives had become unmanageable” “God [it is what we understand to be God or a "Higher Power"] grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot, Courage to Change the things I can and the Wisdom to Know the Difference” God is Truth Love and Wisdom in the moment of now… Alcoholics Anonymous, DonInLondon, Don Oddy, Recovery Life Works, Addiction And Recovery, Alcohol, Alcoholism Alcoholics Anonymous | DonInLondon | Life Works In Recovery | Video Rating: 0 / 5
The best for today: July 1 ~ The principles we have set down are guides to progress. [big book] Just as a sculptor will use different tools to achieve desired effects in creating a work of art, in Alcoholics Anonymous the Twelve Steps are used to bring about results in my own life. I do not overwhelm myself with life’s problems, and how much more work needs to be done. I let myself be comforted in knowing that my life is now in the hands of my Higher Power, a master craftsman who is shaping each part of my life into a unique work of art. By working my program I can be satisfied, knowing that in the doing the best that we can for today, we are doing all that God asks of us.” Alcoholics Anonymous, Addiction And Recovery, Alcohol, Alcoholism, DonInLondon, Don Oddy, Recovery Life Works Video Rating: 1 / 5

DonInLondon Archive 2007 – Day In the Life of a Recovering Alcoholic. Being in recovery from alcohol has helped me reclaim my life. Alcoholics Anonymous is integral to my ongoing recovery. I have a new life and better choices because I keep safe and in good company and in contact with fellows in recovery. Today I have life choices, something I had missed for a long time. This is a personal journey, I may share about AA, I never speak for AA, just for myself. Long may it be so a day at a time. DonInLondon – Day In The Life, one day at a time..

September 8 Step nine focus AA Daily Reflections Video Reading ~} We asked his protection and care with complete abandon. [big book] I could not manage my life alone. I had tried that road and failed. My “ultimate sin” dragged me down to the lowest level I have ever reached and, unable even to function, I accepted the fact that I desperately needed help. I stopped fighting and surrendered entirely to God [and or good conscience, and living to truth, love and wisdom learned from those around me].Only then did I start growing! God [and or good conscience, truth, love and wisdom learned from those around me] forgave me. A Higher Power had to have saved me, because the doctors doubted that I would survive. I have forgiven myself now and I enjoy a freedom I have never before experienced. I’ve opened my heart and mind to Him. The more I learn, the less I know — a humbling fact — but I sincerely want to keep growing. I enjoy serenity, but only when I entrust my life totally to God [and or good conscience]. As long as I am honest with myself and ask for His help, I can maintain this rewarding existence. Just for today, I strive to live His will for me — soberly. I thank God that today I can choose not to drink. Today, life is beautiful! [Anonymous Fellowship ~ Anonymity is the sanctuary to find truth, love and wisdom from others and ourselves, one day at a time. Some suggest god is truth, love and wisdom we learn from others. I am happy with this starting point and truth, love …
