Review of “The Cure For Alcoholism” by Roy Eskapa www.thecureforalcoholism.com “The Cure For Alcoholism” is the most important, life-changing book I have ever read. Following its understandable instructions for using The Sinclair Method cured my extreme alcoholism in the space of one year. It did for me what 23 years of AA could not do: It gave me back my dignity and control of my own life. I cannot recommend this book too highly to anyone who cannot control or stop his or her alcohol consumption. I began drinking alcoholically at age eleven. From ages 18-46 I was a chronic alcoholic in and out of detox, hospitals and 12-step treatment centers. In 1996, I was declared a danger to myself in a court of law and committed against my will to five months in a locked 12-step treatment facility in rural Washington State. I got drunk the day I was released. I could never stay sober longer than a couple of months at most, despite regular AA attendance and working the Twelve Steps. NALTREXONE ONLY REVERSES ALCOHOLISM IF THE ALCOHOLIC CONTINUES TO DRINK WHILE ON THE MEDICATION. My doctor prescribed naltrexone for me in late 2009, but instructed me to take it every day while abstaining from alcohol. This is the way this medication is almost invariably precribed for use with alcoholism, and in fact Naltrexone is still packaged with printed instructions to use it this way.
