Question by Kobe: If a person has 5 to 6 drinks a day is it considered alcohol abuse or alcoholism?
I personally don’t think it’s that bad even though it’s more than the recommended limit. As long as the people are not drinking and driving or drinking at work I don’t see why 5 or 6 drinks per day is bad considering that most alcoholics probably have at least a 12 pack per day. What do you think?

Question by <3: Is alcoholism considered a disability by law?
Someone I know had an employee who showed up at work drunk. It would make sense to fire them. He was told he could not fire the employee since there was a possibility the employee was an alcoholic and alcoholism is a disability you cannot be fired over.

Thoughts?

How long without drinking is considered that the person is recovered, in the safe zone?? My husband wants me to come back to him but I want to make sure he’s quit drinking for good that he’s recovered

well its like doesnt matter how long, it just has 2 be like he doenst go nuts over alcohol. like if he goes out he can drink. but he doesnt drink ALL THE TIME

my mom doesnt believe it is a disease. she believes that its simply and addiction, that can be given up if one learns self control.
