Question by chocolate: How do commit someone for alcohol and drug treatment?
My mother is an alcoholic and drug user. She needs to be committed to a treatment center but she will not go. Last week she slit her wrists and went to the emergency room (50 stitches) but they let her go. I did not know until afterward that she had done this. How can I have her committed if she won’t go on her own? If she attemps suicide again, can I have her committed? Thanks.

Question by : After hardcore binge drinking for about 5 years, I stopped because of liver pains. I’ve been sober for a week.?
My question is: How long will it take for my liver to repair itself and stop hurting?
I’m 25 years old and I’ve been taking liver detox supplements for about 3 days because it scared me that my liver is hurting for so long.
My liver has been hurting for a week, ever since I last binge drank.
Best answer:
Answer by Shelby I recommend drinking plenty of water/tea and eating citrus fruits (especially lemon). Exercising couldn’t hurt either, if you don’t already do that. If you do not have scar tissue on your liver, it will naturally repair itself. If this pain increases or does not go away soon, I recommend visiting your doctor. Good luck

Iran is just one of the so-called ‘transit’ countries surrounding Afghanistan in which use of heroin and derivative substances like crack is fueled by easy access to the drug, lower prices, and rising unemployment. Yet Iran’s problems appear to be more serious and potentially devastating. Question by Bad Mood: What are some opionions on drug treatment centers instead of jail.?
Does anyone feel that a person that commits money crimes such as check forgery to support their drug addiction be given a chance to go to a treatment center before being sentenced to prison?
Best answer:
Answer by frogmaster If the person repaid all the damages he had done first, then I would have no objection to him going to a rehab center as long as jail time was hanging over his head.
Question by sunnyday_sunday02: Are there any drug rehab centers in Arizona?
I haven’t seen my father for years and the last thing I heard about him is that he is currently getting treatment in a drug rehab center. I’m just wondering if I could find a drug rehab center here in Arizona. I really want to see him and offer him some support.
Best answer:
Answer by Camille Yes, there’s a list of drug rehabs in the sources I’ve provided. I hope you find your father. Family support means a lot especially in times of recovery. Good luck!
