i’m looking for a drug test to detect methadone…they say they will detect methamphetamine….what is the difference
so what drug test that i can buy locally will detect methadone? the 5, 7 or 10 panel @ walmart?

Methadone is synthetic heroin and methamphetamine is an altogether different drug with different characteristics.
This is a very common mistake people make. Methadone is a LEGAL medication that is prescribed by a doctor for either pain or at a Methadone clinic for treating the addiction to opiates (morphine, heroin, oxycontin, vicodin, etc.). Methamphetamine on the other hand is an ILLEGAL drug that is a kind of “home cooked speed”. As far as home drug tests go many do not test for Methadone. Most home drug tests look for Amphetamines, Barbiturates, Benzo’s, Cocaine, Marijuana, Methamphetamines, Morphine, Tricyclic-Anti Depressants, Opiates & PCP. If it tests for Methadone it will say it dose or it will say MTD. Many people think if a test looks for opiates then it covers methadone which is not true. It must say it tests specifically for Methadone in order to detect it. You can buy drug tests online that test for it.
