   It does have a few medical uses, like, for example, it’s used for the treatment of ADHD and obesity, under the name Desoxyn (see link, below).

   it is used in adhd merdications suck as adderall it helps reduce impulsive behavior, it keeps you very organized and focused, and it calms people who are hyperactive.. people who arent hyperactive tend to use it because it speeds them up rather then slows them down but people with adhd can of course get high off it to you just have to take more than your prescribed dose.. it does have its positive and negative affects like feeling “depressed” or down all the time you can use it to diet w/e lol hope this helps

   Do you know of any drug that is not harmful? There are none.

   All drugs have risks and side effects just as Desoxyn (methamphetamine) does.

   Desoxyn is actually very safe, it is old and well studied, and highly purified pharmaceutical grade methamphetamine is not what is on the street.

   Desoxyn is made by the pharmaceutical company Lundbeck and it is FDA approved to treat ADHD and exogenous obesity. It is also clinically proven to treat narcolepsy and treatment resistant depression.

   When Desoxyn is judicially prescribed by an expert (typically a psychiatrist or neurologist) it can be a very helpful drug and with proper use risks are small.

   Yes methamphetamine can be dangerous and it certainly has destroyed many lives but so has “speed” which is dextroamphetamine or amphetamine (eg., Adderall, Dexedrine), a prescription medication in almost every country for the same things as Desoxyn. And speed can cause the same problems as meth but meth enters the brain faster (for a bigger high) and it is more potent but in studies a meth addict can’t tell the difference between IV methamphetamine and IV dextroamphetamine.

   But most drugs of abuse, including meth, heroin, cocaine, Rohypnol, GHB, and morphine have medical value and are legally available in at least several countries, in The US of those drugs only Heroin and Rohypnol are illegal, the rest are prescription drugs.

   However due to the stigma around the name ‘methamphetamine’ most doctors don’t use Desoxyn and it is almost unheard of for a GP or pediatrician to use it yet they do use the other amphetamines. It is normally reserved for people with very severe ADHD that is unresponsive to treatment or for narcolepsy. Desoxyn is actually the most effective stimulant for narcolepsy and it can provide total symptomatic control of excessive daytime sleepiness.

   Also Desoxyn comes in 5 mg tablets and even though people need to take several pills daily they are taking much less than a meth addict would use.
