Is it possible for a methamphetamine user to get a “bad batch” & act crazy after using it?

I have a relative who is a crystal-meth addict & he does have very bad mood swings & is very aggressive at times, however, the other day, he completely was almost out of his mind & saying some very hurtful & ridiculous things to me. I was wondering if it’s possible to get a “bad batch” of meth that might make you act super hostile & possibly act like your out of your mind, for lack of a better phrase? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

they were coming off the meth most likely or withdrawing from it. I know i hate that to. They get really nasty. I have no idea if there are bad batches of meth. I think its the withdrawing processes.
There is no such thing as a good batch of meth. It was probably mixed with something that cranked him up. In any event, the addiction, as I’m sure you know is at the root of the problem and as it progresses, those episodes are likely to become more frequent.

There is no good “meth”. But, there are cases in which something they used to cut it with that could have worse side effects than the meth itself. Your relative could have a bipolar or some other medical issue underlying is disease as an addict. 9/1that’sts the case and an addict self medicates. Meth also can cause malnutrition, brain damage, and destroy other things in your body, not to mention sleeping… which can cause one to be quite moody and hostile. Meth users will literally loose their minds’ permanently and never be the same. If there is any way you can get your relative to dry up for a couple of days, maybe with some help of valium, xanax, mood stabilizers, etc, that would really help. I have been in a similar situation. Try to find an NA meeting or a meeting for those dealing with addicts because they can have a lot of advice and support for you. I know its not easy. Good luck, and remember if you are able to coax the person to stop for a bit, saying they would save money so their tolerancisn’tnt as much, then there is a possibility for them to get the help they need. Don’t take things personal when an addict says harmful things to you. they are not themselves. and yes, sometimes truth can come out of a crazy addicts mouth, but generally no. My heart is with you. You should try to help this person out as much as possible to quit, but if they deny any help at all, then you need to cut them out of your life. Tell them that you will not be able to be in their lives anymore if the behavior continues. It may help them stop. It is very unhealthy for you to be around someone in that situation. Mentally, physically, etc. My heart is with you Balla, I had to end my 5 year relationship with my boyfriend due to his negative behavior. Its hard, but better in the end.
Its eating his brain a dose at a time. He will only get worse and worse the longer he uses. All meth is a bad batch. Its not made in a safe lab but someones kitchen or bathroom. Its poison every time.
