Is getting drunk 4 days a week considered a drinking problem or alcoholism?

Thanks for helping if you can I just need to know.. I am concerned about my mother getting drunk this much.

    Yes, very much so.

    I am a Registered Nurse, and work on a psychiatric unit where we deal with a lot of alcohol and substance abusers who come in for detox.

    Alcoholism. BTW, a drinking problem is a polite term for alcoholism. When someone is more interested in getting drunk than in how lousy they feel the next day, this is a problem.

    If she’s drunk 4 days a week and she can’t go a day without a drink, then she is an alcoholic.

    HONESTLY I THINKTHAT IT IS ,AND I ALSO THINK THAT A DRINKING PROBLEM IS ALCOHOLISM… YOU SHOULD REALLY TRY TO ACOMPANY HER TO AN ALCOHOLICS ANONIMOUSE MEETING, BEFORE THE PROMBLEM GETS ANY WORSE.

    it depends on what you call drunk many people have a glass of wine daily an feel tispy others call it drunk,why is she only drinking 4 day for an alcoholic what happen to the other days,maybe there is something that is bothering her 4 days a week.explain what is drunk,falling down drowling drunk.
