those who live in glass houses should not throw stones. are you perfect? I think if you were they would nail you to a cross! I challenge you to be “real” with yourself. AA has helped thousands of people, myself included. Accept people for what they are, because no matter what they are, God loves us all!

  2. MrTobytwirl Says:

All miracle cures are bullshit. AA does not cause miracles.

  3. MrTobytwirl Says:

And what a terribly DREARY character he is. I was really surprised, given the degree of adulation he is given by AA members, that he is so devoid of charisma. He really just comes across as a self-obsessed bore.

    @georgecanfora
That’s nonsense. People don’t have to be drunk or have any problem with alcohol to have a low opinion of AA and its founder.

  5. MrTobytwirl Says:

    @karlottahumphrey
Rubbish! Of course people can judge his moral character, based on known facts, as would be the case with anyone else. Wilson’s hypocritical posturing and self-righteous preaching invites such judgement and the available evidence shows him to have been a dishonest man.

  6. karlottahumphrey Says:

@sandraplumberd bill w is an inspiration, regardless of how he lived his life, his moral character is not for any one to judge. we are all worthy in the eyes of God. AA works, if you work it. Of course it’s not for everyone, but be careful of your words of dicouragement to others. until you walk in anothers shoes, you do not know them.

A non-alcoholic will never think that he may be one, or that he should go to a meeting, or his drinking maybe out of control. A normal drinker will never watch these clips drunk, and then make scarcastic remarks out of their own pain and suffering, trying to convince himself he isn’t an alcoholic. You aren’t fooling anyone, including yourself.

  10. bryantcindan Says:

People in a cult follow orders and people in AA have the choice to follow suggestions!!

  11. Tinman867 Says:

@sandraplumberd : I am currently in AA, and am not sure I agree with everything that the program offers; however, I SO have great admiration for someone who at least wanted to help himself and his problem. Not sure if you drink or not, nor am I sure of how you are related to him, but if Lois is a victim, she chose to stay with him. If he was the faker that you say, she certainly would have known, yet she chose to stand by his side. How exactly are you related to him??

  12. lucypunch Says:

@sandraplumberd He’s probably done more with his life than you have.

  13. Richcool79 Says:

Have anyone heard of the secret scoci. and the Illuninaty? Freemsons? Unfor. AA is part of that secret scociety. There are many cults and most are front org. of the secret underworld. I hope they do’nt like grape KOOLAID!

  14. MrTobytwirl Says:

What a dreary, self-obsessed old bore! I had always imagined Wilson to at least have charm or charisma. It is a shock and a revelation to see this man as he actually was.

  15. donbradmaniac Says:

yes agree. what a classic abuser

  16. jimgeorge2 Says:

Jeez, how do you really feel?

  17. sandraplumberd Says:

Well Im related to the man. He is in my mind and that of my cousins in the USA as a man who was a liar, cheat, narcissistic, imbecile. Totally dishonest afaker who set up a religous cult based on horse shit.

  18. debbiev918 Says:

@sandraplumberd your bitterness is interesting. This must hit too close to home. Bill’s moral character may have lacked at times (maybe even most of the time) – I don’t think that negates the enormous impact he has had on alcoholics and people affected by alcoholism. I have watched many people who did meet my moral expectations do a tremendous amount of good.

  19. weinerout Says:

@sandraplumberd so, what’s your point? What page is that quote from?

  20. sandraplumberd Says:

The man is a faker. This is a Narcissist in full display. Here he glorifies total failure. This is a dream achievement for a Narcissist. He has become a God like idol using, deciet, laziness, greed, stupidity and insanity. legendary stuff dude, a legend. The victim here is the woman he sits with, who is the carry bag for enormous guilt this imbecile fails to know.

  21. sandraplumberd Says:

    Wisdom from the big book….quote

“God does not care if you drink yourself to death. He proves it daily as drunks die. God does not tell you when you have had enough, again proven daily. God does not ask you to quit, nore help you quit.
All these things are up to you alone.

  22. hpmc9 Says:

Bill WIlson opposed the New Deal.

Well, he was right about that one.

But wrong about almost everything else

  23. mmykiee Says:
