By the sounds of it, you will have already done some serious damage to your health.
A good rule of thumb: The point where you know you’re an alcoholic is the point where you’ve done significant damage.
you admit your an alcoholic. you see the problem. can you afford to be a drunk? lots of money? good health insurance? social life in the toilet? all your friends drink? Hell–your halfway there. at your rate I’d say you suffer wet brain syndrome(you can drink yourself insane) in about 2 years.
It sounds like you need help and are trying to get it. This is a sign that you need to go to Alcoholics Anonymous and maybe even get one on one counseling. Please get some help before it gets any worse.
Bad news. It’s almost instant. Drop the beers, chuck out the ciggies, and look up an alcohol helpline. They’ll help you get your life back on track and going the way you want it to.
Or go cold turkey. Drop the lot, don’t touch it again. You’ll get really grumpy and be itching for a drink or a smoke, but give yourself 10 minutes and the urge wil pass.
Btw, tell your family or something. Then they can support you through the counselling and hide the naughty goods if you get any ideas about starting again. =D
it all depends on the person
You are an alcoholic. Sorry to say.
It’s tough to say. It’s entirely possible that you could get hammered, get behind the wheel and die next week. As far as health effects it could be a few years down the line or a few months down the line. It really depends on the severity of your drinking as it is wildly unpredictable. If you are looking for help, addiction intervention exists. Rehab, 12-step programs and detoxes are all out there if you’d like to quit. Best of luck.
It all depends on the person. If you are noticing a tolerance developing (increasing amounts needed) and developing the morning shakes you could suffer from the affliction of alcohol dependency. If this is the case, stomach ulcers, pancreatic issues, liver enlargement (and later on shrinkage), intestinal rupturing, sexual dysfunction are inevitable. I just recently quit drinking after getting all those symptoms. I drank daily for years, but have seen people do damage in months of daily whiskey intake. Google alcoholism and you can find some good information.
