How can i tell my parents about my brother’s drug addiction that they know nothing about?

So i have known my brother was a drug user for a while but now it really is bothering me. My parents are going away for 6 days for vacation to boston. I know that my brother will be smoking weed the entire time in the house. He has done this before when they were gone. I really want to tell my parents but I’m scared and dont know how. I dont want to ruin their trip to Boston either. How should i tell them and when?

yeah honestly just tell them, stop the addiction before it gets worse, tell your parents fast fast fast, i’ve had several friends and one of my brothers deal with problems with addiction because i never said anything, dont hold out… if you care tell them now
first, just because he smokes pot, doesn’t make him an addict. if he’s doing other things and they’re affecting his life, he may be addicted. if you’re worried about him smoking, then that’s what you tell them, not that he’s an addict as you don’t know that to be the case. all you have to say is he’s smoking pot in the house. very simple
If he’s only smoking weed then just leave him alone. Unless he’s not got a job and steals stuff to pay for it and whatever.
u should tell them as soon as u can cause if u dont ur brother might get cancer when he is older

I agree with blues breaker. Don’t turn the problem into something it isn’t and in this case, it’s him doing illegal drugs in your parents home.
You really have no choice in this case but to tell them. And the sooner the better. The longer they know about it, the more time they’ll have to react and figure out a plan.
And if he gives you any lip over it, point out that he never should have put you in this position to begin with and the blame is on his shoulders. Do not apologize to him.
If you think telling your parents about your brother’s vises would be for good,then, tell them so they would have the idea and will suppressed your brother’s habit. It is also good that you suggest your parents to get your brother a drug rehab intervention program. In this way, there’s a big chance of getting back your brothers normal living.
dont tell them. let him do it. my brother told on me and i havent trusted him since. you can tell your parents, but your brother will more than likely hate your guts and not trust you. thats how it is with me and my brother
