Trial of anti-viral therapy 2.10.05 P egylated Interferon 180 µg of Pegasys (Pegylated Interferon alpha 2a ) on 2nd October.
T-Tube removed in jan 2006 in China .
In the second week of jan 2006 he had a biopsy in Willington hospital London , which shows that he has a chronic ductopenic rejection due to interferon therapy.
Unfortunately his condition did not improve and he underwent his 3rd transplant on 28th Feb 06 in China .
This time we had to do ROUX.EN Y LOOP anastomosis. And also put a stent inside.
His HCV RNA is negative before and after retransplant uptill today.
CMV infection or any other infection is negative post transplant presently.
He is looking well, taking:
Tacrolimus 0.5mg once a day, 250 mg Cellcept twise a day., and ursoflask.
Before the third operation he got the hernia under the wound so during the opration they put a patch under the abdominal wall.now the patch is removed long ago but hernia is reoccuring.,his liver fuction tests shows normal but only his alkalain phospate and gamma GT were constant on high levels.,pls advise advise me if he take alcohol what are the side effects.,

if he is even thinking of drinking after having had 3 liver transplants than he deserves whatever horrible side effects he gets because he is an idiot on a suicide mission.
How in the world does anyone having 3 transplants even begin to consider drinking alcohol? I had one transplant (autoimmune disease) and would never drink any alcohol. And then you say he has hep C on top of it even though it is negative right now.
You tell Mr. Triple Transplant that he can expect a fourth transplant if he starts taking alcohol. I hope they don’t give him another since they are just wasting livers on him when someone else would have taken good care of it had it been given to them. What a waste!
