I quit all thoughts of my addiction. Now whenever I notice or think of anything that reminds me of this addiction, I return my thoughts into my body and into my breath. Just like in meditation, I focus on something single to not let my instincts get the better of me. It works for others things such as my food and candy cravings too. It worked so far but its been only a few days so I don’t know.

So I am asking; What is this called that I am doing? Does it work? Will I succeed in ending my addiction.

I know it depends on the state, but youre addicted to lets say, heroin, you get arrested under substance abuse charges… how long is your sentence? How bad is the punishment? This is for a project relating to “Treatment, Not Jail For Drug Addicts”.

If an alcoholic drinks 6 beers in 1 hour and a someone who rarely drinks does the same. They weigh the same and are both males. They also ate the same food and same amount. Will they have the same BAC level why or why not?
It is more dangerous for the person who never drinks?
