Alcohol is an insidious devil. Impairment starts at the first drink, because it will lower inhibitions (make someone bolder!), and gives a feeling of well-being, which is in fact a “numbness” that progresses.

Add an ounce of anything stupid, and you have a recipe for trouble. I know people who have drank, and got caught for just little itty-bitty stupid things (by the cops of course), then arrested right there!

Does not take much…most get lucky!!

I makes the face puffy and after a while some of that becomes permanent. It shows up more on woman than men.

i drank a lot myself and i know that realising you drink to much can not be told to you by another person the best idea is just let him grow out of the phase.

Alcoholism ruins relationships, sets one up for a DUI, over time damages the liver, heart, brain, pancreas, can bring on diabetes, cause seizures, damages the GI tract, bring on Alcoholic coma and make that one miserable to live with or be around. They lose control their life. Lose friends, jobs, make one a social outcast, can precipitate suicidal ideation. I think that is more than enough reason to not drink excessively. One does not have to drink on the job to lose it. Repeated call offs, difficult to work with, becomes combative, argumentative, shorter fuse than ususal. This has been my experience with drunks. Alcoholics don’t have to drink everyday. They can be week end bingers, or infequent bingers. They cannot stop at one drink and some lay off booze for weeks or months at a time.

If continues drinking a day will come she will be so dependant on alcohol that her life will become unmanageable. She will not be able to cope with anything without using alcohol. She will not tolerate minimal stresses in life, will not be able to solve simple problems because the brain will be so inhibited and dependant on alcohol that simple tasks will requre alcohol.
Health problems will start from stomach to liver, heart, the nerves, brain, almost evey organ in her body. If doesn’t seek help, will eventualy decline physically, mentaly, socialy and end up in an institution.

Abusing alcohol is deadly. You can talk to your friend until she is blue in the face, but until she sees for herself how deadly it can be she won’t listen. It destroys friendships, love, marriages, families, businesses, innocent lives, reputations, hopes, dreams, health, need I say more. Just being there for her is about all you can do.

i could list a bunch of reasons but couldn’t be bothered thinking too much, so here is a copy and paste job. Good luck convincing your friend!

Getting drunk impairs your judgement and can increase risky behaviour, which could result in:
· Injuries and accidents
· Unsafe sex, which could result in sexually transmitted infections and unplanned pregnancies
· You being robbed or going home with a stranger
· Fights, arguments and relationship problems
· Getting into trouble with the cops and getting a criminal record
· In extreme cases, alcoholic poisoning, coma, brain damage and death (!!)

If you get drunk or drink heavily on a regular basis you increase your risks of:
· Alcohol dependence or alcoholism
· Sexual difficulties, including impotence
· Cirrhosis of the liver and alcoholic fatty liver (liver failure)
. Cardiac arrest and stroke
· Pancreatitis
· Stomach disorders, such as ulcers
· An increased risk of certain types of cancer

drinking too much can cause alchohol poisoining which is extremely deadly
