in a sense it is. like a disease, drug addictions slowly breakdown your body until it cant take it anymore and unfortunately as a result you could die. it’s different because with a drug addiction you continue to do what you do because of the ‘high’ you get from each hit you take unlike a traditional disease. Also, you have to power of choice to choose whether you want to beat your addiction or continue with it. if only a disease was that easy.
