I’ve been using crystal meth for 8 years and ive been in 8 rehabs i go to meetings and have a sponsor.But in the back of my mind i still want to use .I want to stop for good any suggesstions

You are in big trouble dude, SHAPE UP OR SHIP OUT!!!! Get your act together NOW or you will die very soon. Go to rehab and stick with it. If you don’t stop using now you will end up dead in a few months.
well ur gonna die soon if you dont stop so go to rehab or just take another drug that will be more addictive yet less harmful, like food.

Michael, I am sorry for your pain. What you are experiencing is what addiction is about.
I really wish for you that you can quit permanently. Would you have listened to the person telling you what it did to them? I am asking, because I have always asked folks that I have counseled. Most of the time I get the answer, I never thought it would be me!
You must treat this as any other addiction. NarcAnon is about the best program we have, along with rehab and counseling. It is important to have a support system. You have to have folks there to walk with you through the rough days, when you want to use. Know dear, that you are not alone. People do care. Please get a sponsor and Hang In There. It’s certainly tough to get over a drug addiction, but here’s what I suggest:
First, if you are currently re-addicted, go into rehab and complete the program (again).
Second, once you are clean, I suggest changing who you have as your friends. If it is friends/family that is supplying you with the drugs or extra money for the drugs, it would be best to become more distant with that person. Whoever (if they are that is) is supplying you with, or money for, the drugs obviously doesn’t have your long-term well-being in their mind.
Third, I suggest becoming religious. Through prayer many hard (and seemingly impossible) things can be accomplished. If you aren’t a church goer, look in your area, there is bound to be a local church within driving distance.
Well, hope my suggestions help. To my knowledge crystal meth is one of the worst and most addictive drugs. Good luck to you, and God bless.
I used for 6 years and I recently stopped just about a year ago. What I think it takes is treatment. And while you are at treatment to let everything they say kinda soak in. I know you said you went to treatment quite a bit but maybe you have to keep using until you get so sick of it that you are truly ready to quit cuz you can’t take it no more!! Plus make sure you stay away from your speed buddies and hangouts. If you have a supportive family and friends that helps ALOT too.
