Does using Crystal meth cause shortness of breath even once you’ve stopped using it?
DRUG ADDICTION REHAB Add commentsI smoked crystal meth for about a year and a half but have stopped, for about 8 months now. While on it I would often have shortness of breath and I’m still having that now. I feel like I can’t take in a deep breath and I was wondering if this has happend to anyone else

It takes years to reverse the effects of smoking anything for a prolonged period. Stay on your path to recovery and try some deep breathing exercises to increase lung capacity, you will be OK.
Congrats on kicking the “bad chicken” to the curb!
For a year and a half, you were breathing toxic fumes into your lungs on a regular basis… so it’s obvious that you did some damage to your lungs, and your body as a whole.
I would suggest that you check your heart rate, as stimulants wreak havoc on the heart… and this could be causing the shortness of breath.
Visit a doctor and be honest about your drug history. Make sure you’re healthy!
