I usually drink one beer a night and if I dont have beer I dont drink and its no big deal. What effect will this have on my liver?

It just occurred to me one day that a lot of people I know or have gotten acquainted with have struggled with alcohol dependency at some time in their lives, or have known someone who had undergone the same thing.
